Need help with Exhale? Email [email protected] and I will get back to you, usually within two working days.

Getting started

How the count works.

Day one is the day you stopped, not the day after. One dot appears for every day you do not use nicotine, and the spiral grows denser the longer you go.

I picked a date in the future.

Nothing counts until you say you actually stopped. When the date arrives the app asks you, and you can confirm it, give a later moment, or move the date to another day.

I stopped a while ago.

Choose It was longer ago on the day one screen and pick the real date. Marks you have already passed are shown as passed rather than celebrated after the fact.

Cravings and slips

What the craving button does.

It starts a timer and a breath to follow. A craving lasts about three minutes, and the button sits on every screen so you never have to go looking for it.

I slipped. Do I lose my streak?

No. Tap I slipped and the days you have already earned stay exactly where they are. One cigarette is one cigarette.

Reminders

I am not getting any.

Check that notifications are allowed for Exhale in the iOS Settings app, then check the switches in Exhale under Settings. If you declined when the app first asked, iOS will not ask a second time and it has to be switched on in iOS Settings.

There are too many.

Each kind has its own switch in Settings. Turning one off leaves the others alone.

Subscription and billing
